• Account: name, email address, and password when you register.
• Profile: workspace name, display name, and preferences.
• Résumé content: all text, experience, education, skills, and other content you enter.
• Job descriptions: text you paste or link when using the AI Tailor feature.
• Communications: messages you send via support email or feedback forms.

Information collected automatically:

• Usage data: pages visited, features used, and time spent on the Service.
• Device and browser: IP address, browser type, and operating system.
• Log data: server logs including request timestamps and error reports.
• Cookies: session tokens and preference cookies to keep you logged in.

We use collected information to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service — including the résumé builder, AI Tailor, ATS Analyzer, and Voice Interview.
• Personalize your experience and remember your preferences.
• Send transactional emails: account confirmation, password reset, billing receipts.
• Send product updates and digest emails if you have opted in.
• Respond to support requests and feedback.
• Monitor usage patterns to fix bugs and develop new features.
• Detect and prevent fraudulent activity.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these circumstances:

• Service providers: cloud hosting (AWS), database (Supabase), AI processing (Anthropic). All providers are contractually bound to protect your data.
• Legal requirements: if required by law, regulation, or governmental request.
• Business transfers: if involved in a merger or acquisition, your data may transfer as part of that transaction.
• With your consent: for any other purpose you explicitly approve.

We retain your account and résumé data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where legal obligations require otherwise (fraud prevention, financial records).

Anonymized, aggregated usage data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely to improve the Service.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards: encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted storage of sensitive fields, and strict access controls limiting who on our team can access your data.

No method of internet transmission is 100% secure. While we take protection seriously, we cannot guarantee absolute security against every possible threat.

• Strictly necessary: Required for the Service to function — authentication session tokens.
• Preference cookies: Remember settings like appearance theme and notification preferences.
• Analytics cookies: Help us understand usage patterns to improve the Service.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from using the Service.

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion: Request we delete your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements).
• Portability: Request a machine-readable export of your résumé data.
• Objection: Object to our processing of your data for certain purposes.
• Withdraw consent: Opt out of marketing emails at any time in Account → Preferences.

The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately and we will delete it.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites. This Privacy Policy applies only to NailHiring. We are not responsible for third-party privacy practices and encourage you to review their policies before sharing any personal information.

We may update this Privacy Policy. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
